Accès: De St martin en vésubie, monter au hameau du Boréon puis suivre la route qui conduit au parking supérieur situé au dessus des vacheries du Boréon. Attention selon la saison, ce parking n’est pas accessible en voiture.

Le temps n’est pas engageant mais nous partons malgré tout.
Du parking supérieur, suivre le sentier qui monte au refuge de la Cougourde. Cette année, le refuge sera gardé toute l’année et je souhaite plein de bonnes choses Stéphane et Myriam qui assurent le gardiennage.
Du refuge, nous traversons la rivière en passant sur la passerelle et suivons la sente qui part en direction de la base de la Cougourde (N-N Est). Nous laissons sur la droite la sente qui monte en direction de la combe de la Cougourde et traversons le replat où se trouve le petit lac des Sagnes vers 2200 m. Nous avons remonté le ruisseau qui provient du vallon de Vallette Escure en restant rive gauche orographique, jusqu’à’ un replat situé à 2431 m où se rejoignent le vallon du lac Agnel et celui de Vallette Escure. Nous sommes ensuite partis vers le Nord en remontant le vallon et en restant toujours en rive gauche pour déboucher au niveau du lac de l’Agnel 2650 m. En direction de l’Est, une sente cairnée nous permet de contourner des barres rocheuses par une traversée légèrement ascendante (cairns). Le sommet s’atteint très facilement toujours en suivant les cairns en progressant sur de gros éboulis.
La météo n’étant pas bonne, la visibilité était fortement limitée. Il a neigé toute la journée mais nous avons malgré cela fait une randonnée plaisante où les chamois étaient au rendez-vous. Nous somme redescendus par le même itinéraire et avons profité que le refuge était gardé pour y prendre un bon chocolat bien mérité.

Ce jour là, je suis parti seul. Une fois le sommet atteint, je suis redescendu par le vallon qui débouche directement sur le replat du lac des Sagnes sans repasser par le lac de l’Agnel. C’est plus direct mais plus pentu, les crampons étaient forts utiles. Le refuge étant fermé, je n’ai pas pu m’offrir un bon chocolat chaud.

In one week I came twice on this mountain because the first time the weather was so bad that we can’t see more than five or ten meters so I return a second time with nice weather to takke nice pictures.
